Dawn Pictures, the production house behind Parasakthi, starring Sivakarthikeyan, has entered into an unexpected controversy, with Sudha Kongara’s legal complaint. The production house was all set to release Idhayam Murali, a romantic drama next month.
But their plans seems to have hit a roadblock, as Director Sudha Kongara moves Madras High Court over ₹8.39 crore allegedly unpaid remuneration for Parasakthi. Reportedly, the Court indicates satellite release of the film should not be proceeded with till July 8.
The Plea also seeks to restrain July 10 release of Idhayam Murali, an upcoming Tamil romantic drama directed and produced by Aakash Baskaran, which is also produced by Dawn Pictures.
The film stars Atharvaa Murali in the lead role and explores the bittersweet realities of unrequited, one-sided love, with Fahadh Faasil, Preity Mukhundhan, and Kayadu Lohar playing other crucial roles.
Thaman S, who composes the music for the film, also makes a comeback as an actor. Popular social media influencer Niharika NM also plays a crucial role in the film, which was scheduled to be released on July 10th.
Now, it has to be seen who Dawn Pictures responds to the plea of Sudha Kongara, and how this controversy comes to an end.
